Natural Product Chemistry, Spectroscopic techniques, Extraction and Isolation, Bioactivity studies
I am interested in Natural Product Chemistry research that will lead for drug discovery research. My particular focuses are isolation of active compounds from natural resources, optimization of extraction and separation techniques, and cosmetic formulation. A central aim of my work is on isolation (using several extraction methods) and characterization (using (UV, FTIR, 1D and 2D NMR, MS techniques) of phytochemicals from natural resources (including plants, animal, marine sources and actinomycetes) using bioassay guided isolation and several separations (including liquid-liquid and solid-liquid) techniques. Also, I and my colleagues now, designing several natural based formulations of cosmetic products. Lastly, I have published a number of articles in several journal related to my area.
