Abstract

This article discusses about Islamic literature concept by Dr. Shafie Abu Bakar. How art, literature and Islam are connected with each other is explained through Shafie’s theory, Takmilah theory. Takmilah is an Arabic word which literally means complementing each other, so as one can say, these three aspects are very much related. Not only art and literature are related with God, but also every other knowledge in this world. In the end, artist and litteratuers who contemplate will realize the hidden and underlying relations and sometimes crystal-clear relations between artwork and God.
