Abstract

أصبحت اللغة العربية لغة العلوم في العصور الوسطى؛ حيث نقلت ما أبدعه العلماء المسلمون في علوم الطب، والصيدلة، والطبيعة، والكيمياء، والرياضيات، والفلك، والموسيقى وغيرها، ومن أمثال هؤلاء العلماء المسلمين: ابن سينا، وجابر بن حيان، وابن الهيثم، والفارابي، والرازي، وغيرهم. فتهَافُت علماء الغرب على تعلم اللغة العربية؛ وترجمت الكتب العربية إلى اللغات الأجنبية؛ وظهرت اكتشافات نُسبِت إلى علماء الغرب، رغم أن أصلها مأخوذ من العلماء العرب المسلمين . وفي العصر الحالي تتمثل أهمية تعليم اللغة العربية للناطقين بغيرها؛ بفضل ظهور العالم العربي على الساحة العالمية في مختلف المجالات: السياسية، والاقتصادية، والعلمية، والعسكرية، والاجتماعية، والدينية. لذا لم يكن ممكنا لدولة، أو هيئة، أو عالم، أو باحث أجنبي الاستغناء عن تعلم اللغة العربية كلغة أجنبية.
