Abstract

This research discusses the notion of ―Islamic Unity‖ in the thought of al-ImÉm MuÍammad bin ÑAbdullÉh al-KhalÊlÊ through the selected texts from his correspondences. It shows his vision, ideas, and practical program in unifying the Muslims‘ utterance according to the Qur‘anic methodology and the Sunnah of the Prophet (p.b.u.h.). This paper aims at highlighting the most important practical steps taken by al-KhalÊlÊ to embody the concept of ―Islamic Unity‖ as a reality experienced by the Muslims. This study used the descriptive-analytical method. The study found that al-KhalÊlÊ‘s interest in ―Islamic Unity‖ carries a doctrinal, legal and human dimension, starting from the Holy Qur‘an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (p.b.u.h.), as well as from the trust placed on him towards the Muslim nation in general, and the Omani Muslim community in particular. يناقش ىذا البحث مفهو "الوحدة الإسلامية" بُ فكر الإما ب٧مد بن عبدا﵁ اب٣ليلي من خلاؿ النصوص اب٤ختارة من مراسلاتو. ككما ييبخبْ رؤيتو كأفكاره كبرناب٦و العملي بُ بٝع كلمة اب٤سلمبْ تطبيقا ن للمنهج القرآني كاستنادا ن إلَ سنة النبي  . كتهدؼ ىذه ال ورقة إلَ إبراز أىم اب٣طوات العملية البٍ قا بها اب٣ليلي ليجسد مفهو الوحدة الإسلامية كاقعا ن يعيشو اب٤سلموف. كسلكت ىذه الدراسة اب٤نهج الوصفي -التحليلي. كتوصلت الدراسة إلَ أف اىتما اب٣ليلي بالوحدة الإسلامية بٙمل بعدا ن عقديا ن، كشرعيا ن كإنسانيا ن، انطلاقا ن من القرآف الكرنً كالسنة النبوية، كمن الِمانة اب٤لقاة على عاتقو ب٘اه الِمة اب٤سلمة عامةن كالمجتمع اب٤سلمة بُ العماف خاصة.
