Ibrahim adalah seorang nabi yang diuji oleh Allah swt dengan ujian yang jelas. Beliau berbangsa Iraq setengah ahli sejarah mengatakan berbangsa Syria. Sekiranya berasal dari iraq beliau bertutur dalam bahasa Akkadiah Bybloniah, dan sekiranya berasal dari Syria beliau bertutur dalam bahasa Aramaik
