Abstract
= Contemporary sustainable development initiatives are facing the realities of Industrial Revolution 4.0.(IR4.0).The increasingly comprehensive use of science and technology demands a more innovative, creative, and functionally efficient human role in the present situation. Humans, from a Western perspective, need to expand all their capacities and strengths to achieve maximum profit without considering their emotional, psychological, and other needs. Conversely, the halal industry requires a highl evel of reliance on science and technology. Hence, the question arises, what is the position of humans in halal science? What are their roles and functions? To answer these questions, this study has two objectives. Firstly, to identify the verses from the al-Qur'an pertaining to the nature of mankind in halal science and secondly, to analyse these verses from the al-Qur'an. This library research study had identified six verses from the al-Qur'an that were analysed using the al-mawdu'iy interpretation method. Findings indicate that the essence of mankind in halal science according to the al-Qur'an help depict the virtues of mankind from the aspect of his becoming, dignity ,and psychology, as well as his nobility, namely his physical, psychological and life values. In addition, Allah SWT also strikes a balance by illustrating the shortcomings, weaknesses and fears inherent in humans.
