Abstract

This topic raises important question for study and research in Southeast Asian Islamic Studies. Need for new approaches to Islamic Studies in Nusantara. I see Buddhist-Islam conflict merging in Nusantara very soon in Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand. Largely, rooted in mutual ignorance which is eroding trust between the Muslims and the Buddhists in ASEAN region. This needs to be addressed urgently.
