Associate Professor Dr Faridah binti Nazir is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Malay Language at Kulliyyah of Sustainable Tourism and Contemporary Languages. She is currently teaching Research Methodology, Phonetics and Phonology of Malay Language and Sociolinguistics. Before this, she also has teaching experience of 15 years in Malay Studies at the Raja Melewar Campus, Teacher Education Institute, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. She also has experience teaching as a secondary school teacher, teaching Malay Language and Physical Education for 11 years. Besides, she is also very active in producing innovation in Social Science and Science and has won many international awards such as (i) Gold Medal innovation entitled “Bilingual The ‘Let’s Twist’ Virtual Toolkit International University Carnival On E-Learning (IUCEL) 2018, (ii) Gold Medal in the International Putra InnoCreative Carnival in Teaching and Learning Poster Competition (UPM-Online) for an innovation titled “Kit Tubana” from 22-30 th October 2020, (iii) Silver medal for Innovation Titled "Tubana Kit: A Novel, Combined Tool Of Speech, Read & Color To Aid Special Needs Children" in International Conference and Expositions on Inventions by Institutions of Higher Learning 2022 (Pecipta 2022)-1-3 November 222, UMK, Bachok Kelantan, (iv) Gold Medal for Innovation titled “Buku Aktiviti Baca Warna (BABW) Sebagai Terapi Murid-Murid Pendidikan Khas” in Teaching And Learning Innovation Competition (TLIC 2023), 1-6 February 2023 (Virtual), (v) Gold medal for innovation title “ Our Batik Estetika Istimewa (OBAETIBOX) at the Melaka International Intelectual Exposition 2024 on the 12th of June 2024. Apart from this, her passionate interest in writing has been realised in over 50 publications of academic articles, reference books and fiction since 2009 up to date.
