Saheed Abdullahi Busari is an assistant professor of Islamic Jurisprudence and legal theory at the faculty of Islamic revealed knowledge and human sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia. Before that, he completed his Ph.D. and masters in the application of the principles of Islamic Jurisprudence on financial systems and transactions. He had a bachelor's degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies from Al-Azhar University Cairo and a Higher National Diploma in Business Administration from Yaba College of Technology Lagos. His primary research work lies in issues between the intersection of the principles of Islamic Jurisprudence, social, and management sciences. Always eager to learn more with extensive reading, teaching, and research interest in the Integration of Islamic revealed knowledge to social, management, and humanity disciplines.
Dr. Saheed is a skilled researcher with a bilingual (Arabic – English), qualitative and quantitative research tools in the application of principles of Islamic jurisprudence to multi-disciplinary research and community sustainability while bringing to the table high energy, imagination, dedication, innovation, and trust. His recent researches are Sharīʻah Standard for converting Agrobank Malaysia into an Islamic bank: Analytical and Evaluation Study (Book in Arabic, Research Management Centre, IIUM 2018), Dana Gas Sukuk default: a juristic analysis of court judgment (Journal Islamic and Middle Eastern finance & Management, 2019), "The Financial Distress of Corporate Personality: A Perspective from Fiqh" (Intellectual Discuss, 2019), Exploring the Fatwa Methodology of Committee of the National Council For Islamic Affairs: Case of ASB Trust Fund, (Journal of Fatwa Management and Research, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, 2019). He is presently working on "Rethinking Sociology from an Islamic Jurisprudential Perspective (IIIT, 2020), Standardization of Halal Industry Towards Sustainable Development goal (2020), Alleviation of Potential Challenges in Sukuk Investment: The Smart Contract option (2020).
Saheed's other research interests include the application of shariah glance in exploring academic and industry-driven issues in social, economic, and political spaces across the globe.
