Abstract
This study is related to the concept of Islamic literature conceived by Ali Hasjmy. He is a leading scholar, writer, and politician in Acheh, Indonesia. His specialization is in the intellectual field and held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Da'wah IAIN Ar-Raniry Banda Acheh in 1968. His works mainly dwell on the role of writers in applying the Islamic elements in their works either directly or indirectly. He also explained significantly the influence of Islam in Indonesian literary works. At the same time, he also explained the true meaning of Islam according to the views of Islamic scholars. He also places great emphasis on the breath of Islam in every literary work and has its own Islamic principles in Indonesian literature.
