Abstract
Graphics of maps and genealogy demonstrating the relationship between Omani and Malaysian Malays. The maps demonstrate the Omani classical maritime network circa 9th century CE to 19th century CE which connected the Middle East with China through ports around the Malay Archipelago, the most notable were Kedah and Melaka. The genealogy demonstrates the common ancestry shared by both Omani Arabs and Malaysian Malays through the three sons of Prophet Nuh a.h. according to various Islamic and Malay historical traditions. The traditions are supported by genetic studies suggesting that all human beings did originate from a single man and woman from the Afro-Arabian continent.
