Abstract
Diskriminasi gender di tempat kerja adalah isu yang ditulis secara meluas dalam kajan lepas. Walau bagaimanapun, terdapat pelbagai jenis diskriminasi gender. Sesetengah penyelidik menulis daripada sudut pandangan ekonomi (Oster, 1975; Baldwin dan Johnson, 1992), perspektif sosiologi (Bielby dan Baron, 1986; Cohen dan Huffman, 2003; Charles, 2011), dan perspektif undang-undang dan tadbir urus (Thornton, 2010; Mercat-Bruns, 2016). Diskriminasi gender di tempat kerja juga boleh merujuk kepada diskriminasi pasaran pekerja, diskriminasi gaji berasaskan gender, atau gangguan seksual di tempat kerja. Isu ini tidak unik kepada Malaysia kerana penyelidikan telah dilakukan di bahagian lain di dunia.
