Abstract

This Handbook is part of Family Intervention for the Mitigation of Online Drug Trafficking: Module Development and Feasibility of Implementation (Kajian Mengenai Intervensi Keluarga Untuk Pengurangan Pengedaran Dadah Dalam Talian Dan Media Baharu): (SP17-015-0277) Research Team’s effort to produce source materials and references suitable to individuals, families, trainers, or agencies who are keen to help fight drug abuse and online drug trafficking among adolescents in the society. It is designed for use mainly, but not exclusively, by implementation programmes. More specifically, the Handbook gives information that will support facilitators, trainers, or individuals in conducting activities and engaging adolescents in deeper discussion and awareness of (a) drug abuse and its legal implications; (b) resilience building and family support; (c) adolescent’s vulnerabilities to online drug trafficking; and (d) grooming and manipulation, both online and in-person. This Handbook consists of five (5) modules for adolescents; each of which represent specific theme. The modules are: • Module 1: Theme: Knowledge (Pengetahuan) • Module 2: Theme: Resilience (Daya Tahan) • Module 3: Theme: Family (Keluarga) • Module 4: Theme: Internet and Social Media (Internet dan Media Baharu) • Module 5: Theme: Legal Context (Undang-undang) This Handbook is structured in such a way that facilitators, trainers, or individuals can work with adolescents through sharing, interacting, and learning from each other’s experiences – using activities such as exercises, role-plays, scenario discussions, demonstrations, and reflections.
