Abstract
The global new norm relating to data protection has eventually reshaped the job market of late. More organizations and companies are now looking for a “Data Protection Officer” to spearhead their attempts in governing their data assets. This is clearly illustrated in Article 37 of the GDPR which provides that “The controller and the processor shall designate a data protection officer, in any case, where: 1.the processing is carried out by a public authority or body, except for courts acting in their judicial capacity; 2.the core activities of the controller or the processor consist of processing operations which, by virtue of their nature, their scope and/or their purposes, require regular and systematic monitoring of data subjects on a large scale; or 3.the core activities of the controller or the processor consist of processing on a large scale.” So, what does it take to respond to this new need in the job marketplace? Mainly suited for law and MIS (Infosys) graduates, I will be sharing about this professional skillset in this webinar, a collaboration between AIKOL IIUM and Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (UMP) Indonesia.
