Abstract

This paper (presentation) provides a thorough explanation of the university performance measurement tool and its importance in enhancing the performance of universities in the Islamic world. The tool is the first of its kind to be developed under the umbrella of the ISESCO and FUIW for the pur[soe of instilling the culture of performance measurement and enhancing comprehensive quality in the universities. The tool contains standards, principles, key performance indicators in major areas of university functions, and roles. Besides the presentation proposed a roadmap for the implementation of the measurement tools along with some guidelines. The presentation concludes that there is a need to enhance the culture of measurement and high performance of universities in the Islamic world. The proposed tools if implemented may open a new horison of global quality and excellence in the Islamic world.
