Abstract
Our first year students are required to enrol into UNGS 1201 Sustainable Development course as one of the university core courses (UniCORE). This course prepares students to be champions of sustainable development projects for the world. The main driver to sustainable development projects is the Sejahtera Lestari orientation. This orientation is based on International Islamic University Malaysia’s Sejahtera Academic Framework (SAF). After 9 weeks into the course, 50 students in section 18 are able to propose sustainable development projects with Sejahtera Lestari orientation based on IIUM Sejahtera Academic Framework. The outcomes of the project are beneficial to key Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and to the nation. The first step with small scale project that is driven with Sejahtera heart, mind and attitude enables some sparks for the world to attain Sejahtera Lestari.
