Abstract
This book is a compilation of materials on Instructional Technology (IT)contributed by authors who are considered as experts in this area. Hence, the title Instructional Technology: Issues and Challenges is apt and speaks volume, which you, the reader will find the reason why the author chose the title as you read through each and every chapter. In this book, each contributor examines different aspects of IT vis-a-vis the integral foundation which is Technology Assisted Teaching and Learning. These include sections related to social network such as Facebook, e-learning via smartphones and the like.
The ultimate aim of this book is to share experiences and findings of research in this area, where the students, educators, researchers and the general public will find appealing. This book goes well for those who are interested and about to embark in IT as it covers the fundamentals of IT in teaching and learning, its uses and issues underlying the use of technology in this challenging decade. An added advantage of this book is the reader will find the book is easier to be comprehended as it is provided with examples, graphs and charts to go with the texts.
This book consists of 11 chapters with each one discussing issues pertaining to the complex nature of Technology, Communication and Teaching and Learning. I am very positive, that the readers will find the articles useful in one way or another.
