Abstract

Pandangan biblikal berkenaan nabi Yaakub a.s. dirujuk ke dalam bahasa arab sebagai Ya`qūb atau Jakub ( يعقوب), ialah seorang nabi, rasul dalam Islam dimana baginda telah disebut di dalam kitab suci al-Qur'an. Pandangan Islam berkenaan nabi Yaakub agak berlainan dengan pandangan agama Yahudi dan Kristian walaupun ada beberapa maklumat yang sama dan hampir sama. Nabi Yaakub telah dilahirkan di Kan'an, kemudian baginda telah berhijrah ke Faddam A'ram di Iraq, sebelum sekembalinya semula ke Palestin.
