Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present the empirical findings of research using lean concepts that can best fit into the operation of SMIs in Malaysia. This paper uses a case study to illustrate its findings based on a medium scale industry in Malaysia. The findings were collected and tabulated accordingly into bar charts for validation purposes. The principles of Lean Manufacturing has proven to improve quality, on-time delivery, material flow and customer satisfaction by eliminating waste which helps reduce operating costs and improves overall productivity.
