Abstract
This article discusses the Islamic ethical perspective on deforestation and destruction of mother nature and issues in environmental protection in relation to SDG 13 Climate Action. The paper also emphasizes the Islamic ethical perspective on mankind's role in addressing deforestation and environmental degradation, highlighting moral duties and religious obligation of daʿwah, rooted in Islamic teachings and the importance of sustainable practices aligned with SDG 13. As an agenda of the major sources of reform and the academic endeavours, it provides an overview of an Ummatic mission for the period of ESG as a global and an ummatic mission, its distinctive methodology emphasizing grassroots daʿwah and personal transformation including its global approach, and its emergence in the East and West. This background establishes necessary baseline knowledge about the theological foundations and religious tradition, its organizational characteristics (decentralization, informality, apoliticism), and its emphasis on Quranic, Prophetic approach and his companion`s commitment to safeguard human life and livelihood.
