Abstract

On average, about 97 people fall victim to cybercrimes per hour, that is, one victim every 37 seconds. With the advancement of technology that undoubtedly eases our daily lives, it comes with the compromise of our safety in the digital world. Numerous counter-measure tools have been developed and are readily available on the internet to address the escalating occurrences of cybercrimes. However, their effectiveness is contingent upon public awareness and adoption. This underscores the need for a centralized platform that consolidates these diverse tools, offering seamless accessibility to users of varying technical expertise. CyberPals: S&D CyberSec Doctor 2.0 is a web-based project designed to enhance cybersecurity awareness among Malaysians. Building on the original S&D CyberSec Doctor, which provides scam detection and security validation tools, this second version focuses on improving accessibility for non-technical users and introducing educational resources. To ensure a secure and reliable system, the project follows the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (S-SDLC). The development utilizes Visual Studio Code, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS for the front-end, with Next.js APIs and Netlify handling the back-end functionalities
