Abstract

Business owners and managers are wondering how will organizations survive and sustain tomorrow? Are they going to remain silo and do business as usual? The world keeps changing drastically. How would organizations keep up with the uncertainty? Are they going to use the normal way to keep up with the drastic change that fills with uncertainty, complexity and contradiction? The normal way has done its part in handling the complexity and uncertainty of the past. Be it systematic or reactive, those days are just history. The post normal times nee more collaboration, obedience, value driven, high integrity, and disciplined organizations. Suhaimi and Dolhadi offered scholarly post normal way of ta’awun (mutual collaboration) with high intensity in spirituality for social enterprises that are expected to provide spiritual driven solutions for challenges that created uncertainty, chaos and contradiction. Rohaziah postulated ulū al-albāb approach of managing strategies and organisational learning in post normal times. More importantly, post normal times require more accountability and responsibility in all economic and social sectors. While facing the post normal situations, the normal attitude still stickily embedded in the systems and behaviour.
