A controlled group of 3 selected obese male students with no special diet and 3 selected obese male participants applying ketogenic diet intervention, respectively. The diet intervention was carried out one week before Ramadan until one week before Syawal to let the participants’ body to familiarize with high fat, low carbohydrate diet. Results showed that the selected obese participants applied ketogenic diet intervention during Ramadhan exhibit satisfactory results in weight and BMI reduction, steady blood glucose levels, normal blood pressure levels and presence of ketone bodies, which is a result of following the diet intervention. However, the controlled group of 3 other selected obese male participants, which did not have a specific diet as well as their progress in Ramadhan in terms of their reduction in weight and body mass index, blood glucose levels, blood pressure levels and presence of ketone bodies were opposite of the other participants. In conclusion, the ketogenic diet shows a positive effect on obesity control when conducted during the fasting of Ramadan
