Abstract

This article discusses about some Muslim literary figures were and still under the influence of the West. During the colonial periods, through education and cultural encounters, a new generation of locals who were imbued with Western orientation emerged. The newly westernized locals later occupied significant positions the society and government. On the other hand, there were also a handful of Muslims who went to the West and studied but remained comfortable with their own culture and were hardly westernized. They remained Islamic and were moderate. Upon their return, they benefitted their people and society. مقدمة: كان للغرب ولا يزال تأثيرا على بعض أدباء الإسلام. ويرجع ذلك لأسباب كثيرة، وتراكمات مرّ عليها زمن طويل. بدأ هذا التأثير يتجلى في فترة الاستعمار الغربي لبلاد المسلمين في القرن الماضي، وعندما أحس الاستعمار بقرب رحيله. أهّل أذنابه من أبناء الأمة الإسلامية، والذين فضلوا الأجنبي على أبناء جلدتهم فصاروا مستغربين. أهّلهم الاستعمار الى أن أمسك بعضهم بمقاليد الحكم في بلدانهم، ونفذوا سياسيات الاستعمار. وهناك أسباب أخرى أدت إلى زيادة التأثير الغربي على أدباء الإسلام سنوردها في هذه المقالة حتى نوضح أصل الداء. ولكن من ناحية أخرى هناك أدباء إسلاميين، قد صمدوا أمام مغريات الغربيين لهم. على الرغم من أنهم ذهبوا إلى الغرب في ريعان شبابهم لغرض الدراسة. فهؤلاء العلماء الشرفاء قد تمسكوا بهويتهم الإسلامية، ولم يفرطوا فيها أبدا. وعندما عادوا إلى بلدانهم، قد أفادوا مجتمعاتهم، وكانوا قدوة حسنة لشباب المسلمين. وسنتطرق إلى نماذج منهم لكي يعرف الجميع أن الخير موجود فى الأمة الإسلامية. والحمد لله كثيرا على نعمائه، والله من وراء القصد معين.
