Abstract
The World Health Organization (2020) declared the new coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak a worldwide pandemic. The pandemic has generated public health emergencies that have significantly impacted people's physical and mental health (Huang & Zhao, 2020). Studies on the mental health consequences of COVID-19 on adults have indicated a broad spectrum of mental health problems caused by this novel coronavirus (Raihan, 2021). Recent research suggests that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the public report a moderate to a high prevalence of anxiety, depressive symptoms, and stress. However, most studies focus on mental health symptoms, and there is a lack of studies on managing stress and pressure. A study that focuses on stress management during this challenging time is needed to help prevent the onset of mental illness. Therefore, this paper aims to present an empirical finding on stress management during the COVID-19 pandemic among adults and provide future research directions based on the case studies.
