Abstract
تسلط هذه المقالة الضوء على مفهوم الدبلوماسية الأكاديمية ودورها في تعزيز التعاون بين الجامعات ومراكز البحوث، من خلال استعراض الزيارة الرسمية لوفد الجامعة الإسلامية العالمية بماليزيا إلى سلطنة عُمان. وتبين أن الشراكات الأكاديمية لم تعد تقتصر على الزيارات الرسمية، بل أصبحت إطارًا لتبادل المعرفة، ودعم البحث العلمي، والنشر الأكاديمي، وتنقل الباحثين والطلبة، بما يسهم في بناء علاقات علمية مستدامة وتعزيز التواصل الحضاري بين المؤسسات الأكاديمية في ماليزيا وسلطنة عُمان.
This article explores the concept of academic diplomacy and its role in strengthening cooperation among universities and research institutions. Using the official visit of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) delegation to the Sultanate of Oman as a case study, it demonstrates how academic partnerships extend beyond ceremonial visits to include knowledge exchange, collaborative research, academic publishing, and researcher mobility. The article emphasizes that academic diplomacy contributes to sustainable institutional partnerships and promotes intellectual and cultural engagement between Malaysia and Oman.
