Abstract

Electronic waste management involves the proper handling and managing of electronic waste, including devices like phones, computers, tablets, and other such items. Electronic waste (e-waste) is currently seeing the most rapid growth among all waste streams on a global scale. Therefore, it is crucial to develop strategies for waste management to address this issue before it becomes too severe. Therefore, this study aims to identify the awareness hazards of e-waste, recycling e-waste behavior, and sustainable waste management levels among households in Kelantan, Malaysia. A total of 300 responses were collected using an online survey distributed via Google Forms and data was analyzed through SPSS. The results indicated that the three variables are at a high level and very satisfactory. These findings emphasize the significance of continuous endeavors to educate communities about the dangers of e-waste, advocate for responsible recycling methods, and promote the implementation of sustainable waste management strategies. Through the ongoing efforts of raising awareness and implementing efficient waste management policies, Kelantan and other areas can strive to decrease the environmental impact of e-waste and secure a healthier and more sustainable future.
