Abstract
There is no dearth of hajj-umrah manuals and guides-in both print and electronic formats. I am sure those who intend to perform hajj and umrah will come by them through various ways. I don't have much to add to those standard expressions for hajj and umrah, such as, talbiyah and other significant, repetitive phrases. In this essay, I discuss certain preparations that will help make hajj and umrah more meaningful, especially for educated Muslims.
