Dr. Mohamed Sheikh Alio, is a Kenyan academic scholar who holds PhD in Islamic Theology from Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia (2005). He is currently working as Assistant Professor at Department of Fundamental and Inter-disciplinary Studies, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Previously, he taught Arabic and Islamic Studies for 17 years at different Kenyan universities and held several academic and leadership posts in academic and social institutions. His area of interest includes: Islamic Theology, Comparative Religion, Islamic Philosophy, Islamic Thought, Knowledge and Civilisation in Islam, Ethics and Fiqh of Contemporary issues and Islam in East Africa. He wrote several books and published more than ten articles in international peer-reviewed journals.
