Dr. Khairul Fahmi Jamaludin

Khairul Fahmi bin Jamaludin is a Senior Lecturer at the Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (AHAS IRKHS), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He is currently actively engaged in writing and publishing scholarly works in the fields of Usul al-Fiqh, Fiqh and Fatwa, as well as Islamic Law. Prior to joining AHAS IRKHS, he served for several years as a Shariah Executive at the Agrobank Headquarters before pursuing his doctoral studies. His ongoing research project, funded by a grant from the Ministry of Higher Education, is entitled “An Analysis of the Need for Establishing a Professional Body for Islamic Studies in Malaysia.” Among his most recent publications are: a proposed guideline for the management of orphan assets; “The Practice and Acceptance of Weak Hadith in Islam: Ahl al-Hadith Standards vs. Usul Scholars’ Standards”; and a study entitled “The Issue of Gender Dysphoria (GD): A Critical Assessment Through the Lens of Maslahah in Islam.”
