Dr.Abdulhamid Mohamed Ali Zaroum is an Associate Professor at the Kulliyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He has taught more than 24 courses at both undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels. and actively engaged in research. Dr.Abdulhamid Mohamed Ali Zaroum is an Associate Professor at the Kulliyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He has taught more than 24 courses at both undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels. and actively engaged in research. He was a lecturer of Quranic Studies, Faculty of Quranic & Sunnah Studies, USIM (2011), a Political Analyst and Translator, Embassy of the State of Qatar, Malaysia (2009-2011), a teacher of Arabic Language, International Modern Arab School Malaysia (IMAS) (2008), teacher of Islamic Studies and Arabic Language, International Islamic School Malaysia (2002-2007), a teacher of Islamic Studies and Arabic Language, Integrated Islamic College (IIC) Malaysia (1999-2001). Currently, he is a course coordinator and a member of several committees at the departmental level. Before this, he was the Head of the Department of Students Activities, International Modern Arab School Malaysia (IMAS) (2008) and Head, Department of Islamic Revealed Knowledge, International Islamic School Malaysia (2006-2007) during which he initiated and subsequently, was appointed as the coordinator of the first Quran Memorization Competition among local and international Islamic Schools in Malaysia (2005) and the coordinator of first Tilawah Competition (2006). Abdulhamid has published articles and poems in Eritrea, Sudan, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia Japan, and Malaysia. He has also presented papers in many local, regional, and international conferences, seminars, and workshops in Japan, Libya, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Brunei, and Malaysia. Abdulhamid is a reviewer of many international journals, supervised and examined tens of Ph.D. and Master Theses. He is a member of the Shura Council, Eritrean Ulama' League ( UK), and currently serving as its Secretary of Education Secretariat. He is a member of several academic and professional bodies including the International League of Islamic Literature (currently serving as the Information Secretary of the League, Malaysian Office), the International Union of Arab Academics ( Denmark), Eritrean Academics ( Malaysia), the Founder and first President of Eritrean Students League Malaysia ( 1996) the Founder and first President of Ma'had Anseba Islamic Institute Friends League ( 2007).
