Abstract

This chapter discusses the challenges faced by the institutions hosting audiology program worldwide from the global pandemic of coronavirus diseases (COVID-19). While lecture and seminar can be replaced easily to a virtual learning through online platform, that would not be the case for clinical training. Clinical training requires a face-to-face learning among student, patients, and instructor. In this chapter, an explanation is given about alternative learning technique namely as simulation learning. Simulation learning is not a new concept in audiology, it has been described as early as 20 centuries. It has undergone rapid development from a basic low fidelity simulation training module to an advanced high-fidelity training module. This chapter will promote the discussion on the topic of simulation learning and relate them with the present situation of global COVID-19 pandemic.
