Abstract
his paper aims to explain the Shariah ruling on temporary Waqf in the four
Madhhabs schools, explain the disagreement between them on this issue, and the reasons why the temporary Waqf is most likely to be permissible by reviewing its importance, need for it, and its consistency with the considerate objectives of Shariah (Maqasid), and its role in facing the economic crises that are due to pandemics such as Corona COVID-19. This study relied on the inductive and analytical approach, Among the most prominent results of this study: that temporary Waqf is permissible in Shariah and that there is a need for it, and the importance of raising awareness about it and spreading its culture, because it allows most segments of society to establish Awqaf regardless of the size of their wealth and properties.
