Abstract
This book addresses the experience of training medical students within the framework of lslamisation of knowledge through its curriculum, Islamic Input in Medical Practice (IIMP). It elucidates the importance of having the right mind set and clear direction of the educational journey that each student should understand, internalize and actualize throughout the training in order to achieve its noble objective that is to become safe medical practitioners. The ideals of lslamisation of knowledge forms the foundation for developing core values and competencies expected of medical doctors such as professionalism, leadership, management and team work, which are vital for safe practice. Besides that, students also learn about fiqh medicine and its implications to medical practice as well as developing decision-making skills in medical ethics by application of the four ethical principles of Beneficence, Non-maleficence, Justice and Autonomy and the Islamic ethical principles of the fVlaqasid and Qawafd al-shariah. At the same time, for Muslim students, it is obligatory on them to observe and practice the true teachings of Islam in terms of its Aqidah, Shariat and Akhlaq.
