Abstract

Many have supported the move to abolish the death penalty in Malaysia, although some have argued otherwise mainly because the punishment serves as a deterrent from the commission of heinous offences. In view of the above, this article discusses the issue of abolishment of the death penalty and whether there is any valid basis for this move.
