The second part offers more analytical details on the range of approaches and practices that are observable in these institutions as well as the employment opportunities for the graduates (Chapter 3-5). In the third part, capsule summary of the findings and the implications are discussed (Chapter 6-7).

Additional Information:	This is a published research report undertaken by the Study Committee for the Future Direction of Language Education in Malaysia for MOHE (Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia) in 2010. The team comprises 19 researchers from major universities in Malaysia which included IIUM, UM, UKM, UUM, UPM, UTM, UiTM, USM, UNIMAS. The two IIUM researchers who were members of this study committee were Mat Daud, N., and Rahim, Z.A. The study was lead by Osman, H. and a group of Deans/Directors/Head of Departments of language programmes from major universities in Malaysia (authors 1-9), as well as a team of 10 researchers (authors 10-19) who were directly involved in project discussions related to the language programmes offered in their respective universities during the course of the project. The team were also involved in the final stages of manuscript review and editing prior to publication of the report.
