Abstract

تتناول الدراسة حادثة طلب النبي ﷺ قبيل وفاته من أصحابه إحضار أداة للكتابة لتدوين توجيهات جامعة للأمة، فتباينت ردود أفعال الصحابة؛ إذ رأى بعضهم التريث في تنفيذ الطلب نظرًا لشدة مرض النبي ﷺ، معتمدين على كفاية القرآن الكريم لهداية الأمة، كما قال عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه: «إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ غَلَبَهُ الْوَجَعُ، وَعِنْدَنَا كِتَابُ اللَّهِ حَسْبُنَا» . بينما تمسك فريق آخر بتنفيذ رغبة النبي ﷺ فورًا. وأدى النقاش بين الصحابة إلى عدول النبي ﷺ عن طلبه، مكتفيًا بوصية شفوية جامعة. وتُظهر الحادثة اجتهاد الصحابة رضي الله عنهم في التعامل مع الظرف الطارئ بحسن نية، مما يجعل الخلاف اجتهاديًا طبيعيًا. ومع ذلك، أعادت بعض الاتجاهات الحديثة تفسير الواقعة بطريقة مغرضة، تصورها كتقصير أو تعالٍ على مقام النبوة. وعند تحليل الحادثة يتبين أن النبي ﷺ لم يُبدِ استياءً من الصحابة، ولم ينزل وحيًا يُدين موقفهم، مما يؤكد طبيعة الخلاف كاجتهاد مشروع. وتُبرز الواقعة مكانة الصحابة ودورهم في الاجتهاد المتزن الذي يجمع بين النصوص وظروف الواقع، مع الدعوة إلى دراسة النصوص النبوية في سياقاتها التاريخية والاجتماعية لتجنب التأويلات الخاطئة. This study examines the incident where the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, requested his companions, shortly before his demise, to bring him a writing implement to record comprehensive guidance for the Muslim community. The companions' responses varied; some hesitated to fulfill the request due to the severity of the Prophet's illness, relying on the sufficiency of the Quran as a guide for the community, as expressed by Umar ibn al-Khattab: "Indeed, the Prophet, peace be upon him, was overcome by illness, and we have the Book of Allah, which is sufficient for us. Others insisted on immediately fulfilling the Prophet's wish. The ensuing discussion among the companions led the Prophet to withdraw his request, content with a comprehensive verbal testament. This incident highlights the companions' ijtihad (independent reasoning) in addressing the urgent situation with good intentions, making their differences a natural result of ijtihadi diversity. However, some contemporary interpretations have misrepresented the event, portraying it as negligence or arrogance towards the prophethood. An analysis of the incident reveals that the Prophet did not express dissatisfaction with the companions, nor was any revelation revealed condemning their stance, confirming the nature of the disagreement as a legitimate exercise of ijtihad. The incident underscores the status of the companions and their role in balanced ijtihad that combines textual evidence with contextual realities, advocating for the study of prophetic texts within their historical and social contexts to avoid misinterpretations.
