Abstract
This research investigate 2D, steady state of magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) flow in lid-driven cavity containing triangular block at the center of the enclosure. The fluid flow initiated by top moving wall while all other walls are stationary. Then, the continuity and momentum equations that govern MHD flow in lid-driven cavity containing triangular block will be solved using automated solution technique (FeniCS) with two different parameters which are uniform magnetic field strength and size of triangular block. During the implementation of FeniCS, there will be 3 process need to be done, pre-processing, processing and post-processing. After obtaining the velocity profiles, we will analyse the effects the two parameters on velocity profiles of the fluid flow. It is observed that the increasing uniform magnetic field strength can cause the velocity of fluid flow to decrease and the increasing size of triangular block can cause a distraction to the fluid flow. Some future recommendation can be made in this research such as changing the shape of cavity, walls and the inserted block in the enclosure.
