Abstract

This book is designed for students studying Tilawah (Quranic recitation) at the Centre for Languages and Pre-University Academic Development (CELPAD) of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). It offers a structured learning path for three levels of Tilawah courses: TQTD 1001, TQTD 1002, and TQTD 2002. Students are expected to recite the Quran in the presence of a teacher (TALAQQI) for effective learning. The book uses only words found in the Quran to familiarize students with Quranic vocabulary. The Quranic recitation follows the Ḥafs ʿAn Āṣim method, commonly used in Malaysia, and presents Quranic words in the Uthmānī script. Additionally, selected Surahs are included at the end of each level for memorisation.
