Abstract
The present study establishes the need and importance of herbal gardens in educational institutions especially in the context of niche programs of herbal sciences as at Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi MARA. These gardens help in experiential learning and sensitising the children toward maintaining the environment as well as knowledge about overall development. Nonetheless, herbal gardens risk survival due to threats that include infrastructure development and urbanisation. The study seeks to learn why these botanical sanctuaries are disappearing and assess the protection actions in play. It aims to offer hands-on advice for academicians, educators and policy makers on the incorporation and conservation of herbal gardens into learning establishments. By aligning the curriculum with the potential of herbal gardens and identifying suitable cultivation areas, this research contributes to enhancing the learning experience and fostering a stronger connection between education and the local community.
