Abstract
The research aims to identify the effect of using the interactive whiteboard on academic achievement and motivation towards learning among twelfth grade students in geography. The researcher used the semi-experimental approach for the experimental and control groups. The students divided them into two groups, an experimental group consisting of (30) students who were taught using the interactive whiteboard, and a control group consisting of (30) students who were taught using the regular method. The research tools consisted of an achievement test and a scale to measure the students motivation towards learning. Statistically significant differences between the average scores of the students of the experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group, and the results also showed that there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the experimental and control groups in the measure of motivation towards learning in favor of the experimental group. The results also indicated the existence of a positive statistically significant correlation relationship among
students of the experimental group between the variables of academic achievement and motivation towards learning in the subject of geography. Therefore, the researcher recommends conducting more studies aimed at knowing the effect of the interactive whiteboard on academic achievement and motivation towards learning for educational materials and other school stages
