Abstract

Melihat kepada kepentingan peranan akhlak dalam kehidupan seorang, masyarakat dan negara, wacana akhlak Islam di kalangan pemikir Islam bermula dari dulu sehingga kini. Artikel ini membincangkan wacana akhlak Islam dari kalangan para pengkajinya terdiri dari para ulama, intelektual dan moralis berkaitan dengan peranan akhlak dalam kehidupan manusia. Kajian ini adalah kajian kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data berdasarkan kepada kajian kepustakaan. Hasil wacana akhlak tersebut diambil untuk perbincangan, analisis dan penilaian. Fokus utama artikel ini ialah peranan akhlak dalam kehidupan manusia merangkumi peranannya dalam individu, masyarakat, keluarga dan negara. Kajian ini mendapati akhlak berperanan untuk mengarah kepada tujuan yang sama, iaitu mencari keredaan Tuhan dan mendapat kebahagiaan di dunia dan akhirat. Oleh kerana akhlak Islam adalah sebahagian dari ciri-ciri manusia serta pembentukan manusia sempurna, boleh dikatakan bahawa manusia tanpa akhlak bukan lagi manusia yang sempurna, malah lebih buruk dari tabiat binatang menurut perspektif Islam. ******************************************************************************* The significant of moral roles in the life ofa person, society and nation, has created healthy Islamic religious discourse of moral issues among Muslims thinkers. This article discusses Islamic religious discourse among scholars, intellectuals, and moralist in relation to the role of morality in human life. The method of study is a qualitative study with data collection based on library research. The results of the discourse are taken for discussion, analysis, and evaluation. The main focus of this article is to highlight the role of morality in human life encompassing its role in individuals, societies, families, and nations. This article finds the role of moral character is to leads to the same purpose, namely to seek the pleasure of God and to gain happiness in the world and in the hereafter. Thus,Islamic morality is a part and partial of the human character as well as to build a perfect man. In this contexts it is crystal clear, without proper morality human character, human being will be degraded to the nature of the animal.
