Abstract

Kajian ini dibuat untuk menjelaskan tentang kedudukan asnaf al-Riqāb sebagai penerima zakat di Majlis Ugama Islam dan Adat Resam Melayu Pahang (MUIP). Objektif kajian ialah untuk menerangkan tentang pelaksanaan agihan zakat terhadap asnaf al-riqāb di Negeri Pahang. Agihan zakat terhadap asnaf alRiqāb menjadi perbahasan di kalangan ulama masa kini setelah sistem perhambaan secara rasminya telah dihapuskan. Isu-isu perhambaan masa kini seperti umat Islam yang terbelenggu dengan kejahilan dan kezaliman menuntut penyelesaian dengan dilaksanakan kajian secara menyeluruh. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa MUIP telah melaksanakan agihan zakat terhadap asnaf al-Riqāb di Negeri Pahang. ************************************************************************ This study was made to clarify the position of al-Riqāb recipients as recipients in the Islamic Religious Council and Malay Customs Council (MUIP). The objective of the study was to explain the implementation of zakat distribution on asnaf al-riqāb in the State of Pahang. The zakat distribution of al-Riqāb became a debate among scholars today after the official system of slavery was abolished. The issues of slavery today such as the Muslims being plagued with ignorance and cruelty demand a solution by conducting a comprehensive study. The findings of the study show that MUIP has implemented a zakat distribution on Asnaf al-Riqāb in the State of Pahang.
