Abstract

The delivery of bactericidal proteins into biofilms is challenging. Hollow mesoporous silica nanoparticles with large cone-shaped pores were synthesized to deliver antimicrobial proteins into biofilms and showed enhanced antimicrobial activities. © 2018 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
