Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dalam dunia pendidikan turut melibatkan bidang pengajian bahasa Arab. Pelbagai pendekatan baharu dimanfaatkan dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran (PdP) bahasa Arab terutama melibatkan elemen teknologi seperti multimedia dan internet. Bagi membincangkan perihal pemanfaatan teknologi dalam proses PdP bahasa Arab, makalah ini memperkenalkan satu medium alternatif bagi pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang boleh dimanfaatkan oleh pelajar di peringkat sekolah rendah. Laman e-pembelajaran yang dikenali sebagai EZ-Arabic.net dibina bagi membantu para pelajar untuk mempelajari bahasa Arab dengan pemanfaatan teknologi. Proses pembinaan laman EZ-Arabic.net ini dilaksana berdasarkan cadangan dan komentar yang diberikan oleh para pengguna laman di peringkat prototaip awalnya. Hal ini bagi memastikan EZ-Arabic.net dapat berfungsi dengan baik, bukan sahaja mengandungi bahan yang sesuai dengan tahap pembelajaran bahasa Arab di sekolah rendah, malah ia turut memenuhi keperluan semasa para penggunanya. EZ-Arabic.net juga dilihat mampu untuk menjadi satu medium pembelajaran bahasa Arab secara kendiri kerana ia boleh diakses melalui internet di luar ruang kelas. Antara objektif kajian yang dimuatkan dalam makalah ini ialah untuk menjelaskan proses pembinaan laman EZ-Arabic serta membincangkan respons pelajar yang telah menggunakan laman pembelajaran ini. Respons diperolehi dan dianalisis bagi melihat tahap penerimaan pengguna laman EZ-Arabic.net sebagai medium alternatif untuk mempelajari dan memahami bahasa Arab. Berdasarkan analisis yang dibuat, respons pelajar amat positif khususnya melibatkan kandungan laman EZ-Arabic.net, persembahan dan minat mereka untuk menggunakan laman e-pembelajaran ini dalam mempelajari bahasa Arab. The development of technology in education also involves the field of Arabic language studies. A variety of new approaches is used in teaching and learning process (TnL) of Arabic language, especially via multimedia elements such as technology and the internet. This paper introduces an alternative medium for learning the Arabic language that can be used by students at the primary school level. The development of an e-learning platform known as EZ-Arabic.net is conducted to help students to learn the Arabic language by using technology. The development of the EZ-Arabic.net is implemented based on suggestions and feedbacks by the users in the early prototype stage of the EZ-Arabic.net. This is to ensure that EZ-Arabic.net is to work properly by fulfilling the current needs of users and not only to contain learning materials of Arabic language learning in primary schools. EZ-Arabic.net is also a medium for self-learning of the Arabic language as it can be accessed via the internet outside the classroom. Among the objectives of the study discussed in this paper is to describe the development of the EZ-Arabic.net, as well as to analyze the responses of students that have used this e-learning platform. Responses were collected and analyzed to study the degree of user’s acceptance towards EZArabic.net as an alternative medium to learn and understand Arabic language. Based on the analysis, the student’s response was very positive, particularly related to the contents and appearance of EZ-Arabic.net, as well as their interest in using this e-learning platform in learning Arabic language.
