Abstract
The genus Knema belongs to the Myristicaceae family, commonly known as the nutmeg family. It comprises around 80–100 species of evergreen trees found predominantly in tropical Asia, particularly in regions such as India, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific Islands. Among over 185 reported compounds, the major compounds that exhibit promising pharmacological activities are phenolic acids, lignans, flavonoids, and neolignans.
