Abstract

Customers now have more options thanks to increased global restaurant sector competition in recent years. The external and interior settings of the restaurant have evolved into a crucial marketing tool in the sector due to the constant rise in competition throughout the world. Customers will be drawn to restaurants with eye-catching exterior and interior design. Therefore, the goal of the study was to determine how color, material, and finishes in casual dining restaurant affects consumer happiness in Malaysia. The result will be beneficial to restaurant management, interior designers, architects, and interior design students. The perception of food, emotional reactions, and mood during meals are all influenced by the color of non-edible objects like tableware, but these effects are currently little understood. Colors, material, and finishes are thought to have a greater impact on mood and emotional reactions during mealtime activities. Information acquired through a convenience sampling of diners at casual eating establishments for a survey and questionnaire. Restaurant managers should pay attention to the color, material, and finishes of their establishments as they play a crucial role in generating favorable consumer outcomes and forging stronger relationships with their patrons. Research has shown that colors, materials, and finishes play persuasive roles in forming feelings and behaviors.
