Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to provide guidelines and elastic techniques so that conflicts might be decreased or eliminated for survival of a peaceful life. In fact, absence of war & violence cannot be considered as real peace because in actuality, peace is associated with justice. For living with other cultural groups in peace, the provision of justice is mandatory. Peace may be categorized as positive & negative, if peace is attained by peaceful means then it will be considered as positive peace (relatively modern term) otherwise it will be considered as negative peace if violent means are used in maintaining peace. Hence conflict resolution & conflict prevention may be considered as peace building. Furthermore, outer peace & inner peace both are crucial for an individual's satisfaction & balance maintenance. Sometimes, for maintenance of peace to encounter social, economic, political, religious & cultural conflicts becomes necessary. Sometimes difference of opinion & behavior creates conflict which is human nature. With the passage of time & space behaviors may be changed. With religious harmony, mutual disputes & conflicts may be addressed or to be settled. We must learn to respect each other if we want to promote religious harmony. In short, for maintaining lasting religious harmony is a crucial step for building a harmonious world. Today’s peace exists in the pockets all around the globe.
