Abstract
This research explores the foundational principles of Tawhidic
Leadership, an Islamic governance model rooted in the Oneness of Allah () (Tawḥīd) and centered on fostering an ethically grounded and inclusive approach to leadership. The study investigates how core principles such as al-shūrā (consultation) and amānah (integrity) operate within this framework to promote governance that aligns with Islamic values of justice (‘ʿadālah), freedom (ḥurriyyah), and moderation (wasaṭiyyah). Using a qualitative, thematic analysis of both classical and contemporary Islamic texts, the research systematically presents findings through tables and charts, providing clarity and depth to the analysis. The results illustrate that shūrā and amānah are crucial in ensuring public trust, inclusivity, and ethical accountability. Shūrā is shown to enhance participative governance by fostering consultation within the ummah (community), while amānah establishes transparency and trustworthiness in leadership actions. This study’s findings extend beyond theoretical insights,
highlighting practical strategies for embedding Tawhidic principles into contemporary governance structures, especially within Muslim�majority societies. Comparisons with existing governance models reveal that Tawhidic Leadership offers a distinct approach that is not
only ethically sound but also adaptable to modern societal needs. Recognizing limitations, including variability in interpretation across diverse cultural contexts, the study calls for future research into the application of Tawhidic principles within multicultural settings and secular governance frameworks. Ultimately, this study advocates for Tawhidic Leadership as a valuable model for addressing the ethical
and governance challenges of the modern world, contributing to broader discussions on sustainable, just, and inclusive leadership models rooted in Islamic teachings.
