Abstract

In today's world, the pressing need for environmental sustainability has led to the emergence of "The Circular Economy" as a transformative approach to production, consumption, and disposal. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, this philosophy aims to reshape global prosperity while preserving the planet for future generations. However, the intersection of the circular economy and consumer behaviour remains largely uncharted territory in marketing literature. This book bridges that gap by delving into the intricate relationship between consumer psychology and circular economy principles. Drawing insights from empirical research conducted across multiple countries, the book explores the factors influencing consumer purchase intention in the circular economy context. Through the lens of established theories such as the Theory of Planned Behaviour, it examines how factors like attitudes, social norms, environmental impact, and convenience shape consumer decision-making. The book provides a comprehensive analysis of consumer behaviour in circular economies, offering valuable insights for policymakers, green marketers, and businesses seeking to align their strategies with sustainability goals. By unravelling the complexities of consumer motivations and preferences, it paves the way for the development of effective strategies to promote circular products and foster a more sustainable future.
